Yemeni society for the careinc Qualifying blind people participated in the delegations to the third Doha International Conference for Blind Women, which was launched on Sunday 6-5-2018 and lasts until next Tuesday, and represents the assembly of Mr. Mohammed al-Arafi, Human development trainer and advisor to the Association, and the professor: Ammar al-Sabbari and Mr. Faisal Alsarmi are members of the association.
The conference discusses a number of topics related to persons with disabilities in a variety of dialogue sessions, including “Blind Arab women, Community partnership and the use of media to serve their causes”, and “Arab Palestinian women blind between forced bachelor and limited cases Marriage “,” and the obstacles and challenges faced by blind women in the context of development “,” and to promote the building of national capacities of blind women through the consolidation of a supportive and rights-based approach to development “.
Representatives of the Assembly spoke of the positive debate on the topics discussed at the first and second conference days, adding that such conferences would increase societal awareness of the rights of persons with Disabilities and of blind women in particular.
It should be noted that the association participates in this conference for the third consecutive year, in addition to participating in several conferences and meetings on persons with disabilities, the most recent being the eighteenth meeting of the Gulf Society for Disability in the Sultanate of Oman.
